A from-scratch custom mobile imaging trailer is built in stages from spec to delivery. The timeline includes route engineering, chassis fabrication, suite shielding, OEM integration, vibration tuning, and acceptance testing. In general, it will take roughly 4-6 months to complete a brand new CT, PET, or MRI trailer and 3-5 months to complete a brand new mammography trailer.

A new build is a ground-up fabrication in its entirety, everything new. Refurbished is a pre-owned trailer whose used parts are replaced with new parts and reconditioned is when you simply repair, replace and service parts of a unit to improve its current state. Refurbished and reconditioned coaches give you a faster, more affordable option with a known performance floor.
Custom mobile imaging trailer pricing varies by modality, shielding requirements, chassis class, and integration scope. In general, brand new CT, PET, and MRI machine trailers cost between $600k and $1.25m. Brand new Mammography trailers generally cost between $350k and $500k. Cost ultimately depends on the scope of work, modality, and more. The imaging hardware (magnet, detector, gantry) is procured separately through the OEM and is typically the largest line item in the total project cost. Yes. Every coach we build meets DOT commercial vehicle standards for the trailer class. Annual DOT inspection is included in our preventive maintenance plans. Brake systems, ABS, hydraulic lifts, and chassis welds are inspected and documented during build acceptance and on the annual PM cycle.
Yes. Every new build comes with a preventive maintenance plan tied to scan volume and route mileage. Service & Repair coverage starts the day the coach is accepted. The same engineers who build the coach own the service plan, so build work and service work go through one number.
Yes. We handle DOT-compliant delivery of every new build to your clinical home base. Storage & Logistics also covers ongoing coach relocation between sites, refurb cycles, and seasonal routes.
