The same seven-stage refurbishment process applies: inbound inspection, chassis and brake audit, suite teardown, OEM-spec rebuild, power and HVAC recommission, imaging integration, and certification. Tell us the modality and the coach’s history when you submit a refurbishment request.
We rebuild all three primary mobile imaging modalities: modular MRI (1.5T and 3T), mobile CT (8-slice and above), and mobile PET / PET-CT. The teardown depth varies by platform: 3T MRI refurbishments include vibration and acoustic isolation work; PET refurbishments include hot-lab and tracer-handling shielding verification.
A refurbished mobile imaging trailer makes sense when (1) your route and scan volumes are forecastable, (2) you need a coach faster than a ground-up new build, and (3) you want to free capital for the imaging hardware itself rather than the trailer fabrication. If your modality or route is custom, a new build may be the better fit. We can scope both during your initial request.
Yes. You receive full inspection documentation before purchase: chassis frame report, axle and brake audit, suite shell teardown findings, shielding scan results, and OEM service history pulled from the original equipment vendor. The coach you buy from us has a known floor because we have already torn it apart and rebuilt it.
Pricing depends on the modality, the source coach’s condition, and how much rebuild work is required to bring it to OEM spec. A refurbished mobile imaging trailer is typically a fraction of the cost of a new build at the trailer level, before the imaging hardware. In some cases, yes. A chassis built for one modality cannot always be retrofitted for another (a 1.5T MRI trailer is not the right chassis class for a 3T magnet), but we can refurb a coach for the same modality on a different OEM platform, or rebuild the suite for a different generation of the same modality.
